Кinetics of glucose-6-phosphatedehydrogenase biosynthesis in the post harvest apple fruits

Abstract

Kinetics of glucose-6-phosphatedehyrogenase (G6PDH EC 1.1.1.49) biosynthesis in Antonovka and Simirenko’s rennet apple fruits in early climacteric post harvest period were studied. The direct interdependency between the enzyme biosynthesis intensity and its activity was revealed. It was also demonstrated that increasing G6PDH activity during the maturation of apple fruits was, mainly, caused by enhancing the rate of its biosynthesis.
